We used to have a saying where we lived in N.Z....

''If you can't see the Mountain, its raining....

If you can see the Mountain.....Its gunna rain.

'The happiest of people don't necessarily
have the best of everything;
They just make the most of everything they have.

Lovely pic, Rosco!

It's always funny driving to the coast over Clyde Mountain. It pretty much always rains there at the top of the mountain pass or if it doesn't rain buckets, it's so foggy you have to drive 25kph. But once you're over it, it's usually fine.

Spring camping!!! Surely you can get a camp in between then and now XB??

I was talking with friends on the weekend and I have my August, October, November, Xmas/New Year and end of January camps planned at this point.

Missing September...so will have to put my thinking cap on for that one and come up with something....mmmmm

No need Gypsy.... :***

Very jealous at the moment as our good friends that we camp with and their 4 kids have been gone for just over a week (will be gone for 4 weeks) now making their way up to the cape!!

They were at the Albatross hotel in Weipa on Sunday when they text me so we are very envious at the moment as they asked us to go with them but we couldn't leave the business for the 4 weeks. :cry:

They should make the tip today and I sent a little bottle of bubbly with my girlfriend and told her she must drink that for me when they make it and get it on film!!!!! ::)

Can't wait till they get back as we have a slide show/campfire night planned to hear all about their exciting trip. My girlfriend said that they are picking all the best spots on the way so that when we go with them in retirement she will be able to lead the way (probably to all the best pubs!!!) :***

So camping is very much on my mind at the moment.... ::)

I can understand the green eyed camping/travelling monster XB...

I have friends who left work earlier this year to live & work on the road full time. I spent the weekend with them as they were passing through and I can tell you
I am the deepest shade of green you can get
