Plenty of them around. This was taken on the Bruce Highway just north of Brisbane. Not a cop in sight :)

The one with the camper then boat, im sure many of us wish we could but our own safety and common sense probably stop most.

I did see a somebody trailing 5 trailers behind a tractor taking grain to a silo one year, only if i had my camera.

Re The Guy with the Boat. I'm not saying that it isn't dangerous but does anyone know the exact law that says that it is unlawfull. Is it any different to a three trailer rig you see going down the highway if you have the correct licence.

I wonder the same thing nobby. If all the tow points are ADR approved, and the weight doesn't go over the vehicles braking limit it'd be ok?

Not sure too many would have the required licence even if this was legal.

i guess i could research but that'd be no fun.

Why would you need a special licence for it? People get a drivers licence and can't drive, or reverse one trailer, so another one wouldn't make any difference? :*** :cheers

It is against the law in every State. Check your local regulations. All States say one trailer only behind a car :)

Fair enough Kate but my question was that if you had a licence to drive a triple Bogy for instance and you had a F truck (or similar size), what is the difference between that and our friend with the Boat and camper. I heard of a bloke getting stopped and fined and the only reason he was given was that it could be dangerous driving. Even the Police who stopped him couldn't give him the exact wording of the unlawful infringment. Still wouldn't want to see everyone doing it.
