EASTER,who is doing what?

A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

EASTER,who is doing what?

Postby Poodle Jewel » Sun Jan 22, 2012 3:16 pm

Well this is the first time in 7 years I have had Easter off so still trying to get my head around it. Heard of a quiet spot from a guy at work but it is 4/5 hours drive so thinking too far. Family said i could go to Wee Waa with them but that`s 8 hours away and i would not be able to take the dogs so not going there. What is every one else doing?
The Lord is my shepard,i shall not want......only sometimes.

If I get my way ... Camping of course

Sadly no camping this Easter, promised our youngest we will take her to a museum in Adelaide she wants to see dinosaur bones, will check out an art gallery while we are there. Will be staying in the van of course always cheaper.
We are going to head to Wilpena Pound during the holidays it should be nice at this time of year, may see a little water flowing.

After arriving early one Good Friday Morning at one of our favority camp grounds only to find a sign saying sorry FULL and thinking we're OK we booked and then finding they don't have our booking....!!! we went home never to camp at Easter again, that was 7 or 8 years ago

Going to Gin Gin for an overnighter this weekend and the following weekend going away with friends for a few nights either up to the Sunshine Coast or out the back of Gatton, it's our friends choice. 8)

Cheers
Lawrence

Old campground at Leslie Dam, now gone, was run by the council.

Have since camped at the new campground/caravan park which was OK but I understand it has an issue with how many can camp there because of the toilet treatment plant size

While waiting to see my physo I thought I'd pop into Lake Dyer and read the local rag to fill in time and they have sign's up at the front gate and on the road in saying "Easter Full no bookings"

cheers

That's not a very big CP though, wouldn't take too many to fill it up.
