Rich Beef Casserole (this one is for my electric frying pan)

2 lean rashers bacon, chopped

1 kg oyster blade steak, cubed

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1 1/2 Tbsp flour

1 cup red wine

4 ripe tomatoes, chopped

1 Tbsp tomato paste

1 freshly ground black pepper

8 small whole onions, peeled

1 Tbsp fresh rosemary leaves

2 cup sliced mushrooms

1 chopped parsley, to garnish

Sauté bacon in a frying pan until lightly browned. Transfer to a dish. Add meat to the frying pan and quickly brown on each side. Transfer to the dish.

Sauté garlic for 2 minutes and then sprinkle in the flour. Stir well. Add wine. Stir constantly until thickened and bubbling. Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and pepper. Add the meat to the sauce in the frying pan.

Cover and cook moderately slow (140ºC) for 30 minutes. Add the whole onions, rosemary and mushrooms. Cover and cook a further 1 hour or until the meat is tender. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

One Pan Dinner

Ingredients:

500 g lean topside mince
3 Tbsp spring onions or chives, finely chopped
2 cup water
1 bay leaf
1 beef stock cube
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp dried tarragon
1/2 tsp dried thyme
100 g brown rice, uncooked
1 Tbsp parsley, finely chopped
150 g onion, finely sliced (large)
2 Tbsp tomato paste
200 g cabbage, finely shredded
150 g carrots (2), shredded
1 Tbsp polyunsaturated oil

Shred cabbage and carrots; put to one side.
Place oil in a large fry pan and stir-fry garlic and onion over low heat until golden.
Add mince and stir-fry until brown. Season with beef cube, bay leaf, thyme, tarragon, parsley and chives.
Add rice, water and tomato paste.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer over low heat for 30 minutes.
Add cabbage and carrots to rice and stir fry just to mix and slightly soften. Serve immediately.

Garlic and Sweet Chilli Prawns with rice

1kg green prawns (deshelled)
1/2 cup vegtable oil
2 tbls sweet chilli sauce
4 tbls crushed garlic
(optional) drizzle cream for sauce
2 cups of jasmine rice

Add the oil chilli sauce and garlic in a bowl or a zip lock bag.

Place the prawns into the bowl or bag and mix around. refridgerate or place in the ice box for about an hour to marinade.

Cook rice as per directions on packet. Heat the BBQ or frying pan and cook for marinade and prawns 3-4 min in samll batches

If you would like a sauce then leave prawns and marinade in frying pan and add a drizzle of cream to make sauce and serve on cooked jasmine rice.

SMOOOOOOORES

Take 1 packet of Nices biscuits,1 packet of marshmellows & 1 packet of chocolate freddos.

Get 2 biscuits,place a freddo in between them ,then cook 2 marshmellows over the fire & place them between the biscuits on the chocolate & then squish it all together,then of course ,eat it.YUM
They are called smooooooores beacuse you always want some more......lol :*** :***
