hi all, new to this site and find all the subjects great, never to young or old to learn something new!!! doing the darling run and through swan hill and echuca in august!! cold but thats the best thing campfires and cooking!! will check the site often and pick up tips and try and add stuff to. cheers all windmill3 :hello:

Hi windmill3 and WELCOME to the forum. Glad to see that you are finding the site helpful.

I did the Darling run a few years back so any info I have is probably pretty much outdated, though in saying that I would still suggest the bakery/pie shop in Bourke is well worth checking out.

G'day and welcome. We are presently at Swan Hill and heading along the Murray. We did the darling River run a couple of years ago. Was disappointed as you don't get to see the river very often as it runs through private properties. But still some good camp sites on the river.

I am envious.
The Darling followed by the Murray.
