stevo. wrote:Welcome to the site David, sounds like it should be good fun. Yeah the kids will probably have a bit of a whinge on the way and may even give you hard time during the event, but i'm sure when you get back they'll be talking about it for ages and will be asking when you're going again. Get them involved in doing a bit of stuff at camp or have a little drive of the boat etc so they feel more involved and you're not taking over everything?
Sounds like a great plan though!

Sounds like an excellent way to go it does all of us good to get away from the luxuries and just enjoy time together as a family
stevo. wrote:If they're in to computers, you could make use of that too, get a GPS reciever (little thing that plugs in to the computer) and get some map software and while you're driving along they can be tracking the route, working the calculations, creating track logs, etc etc , It's doesn't really serve muc purpose, but if you're in to geeky stuff it's good fun

Boys that age will be never jumping out of their skin to look excited but the skiing bit will get them in and they will love it. The Big4 at Nelligan will have a games room that they can get their fill of Playstation etc but at 15 I think he will love the fact that he will be surrounded by chicks in bikinis and he will have a great time.
We have three teenagers and they love camping even the nearly 18 yo boy, especially if it involves water skiing.
Good luck with it all and look forward to the pics.
Also get them a car re-charger for their mobiles & Ipods so when the other kids are up early trying to wake them up they can plug in and go back to sleep......that being said our son can sleep through just about ANYTHING!!!!! so I doubt wether your boys will be any different.
xmasbaby67 wrote:They usually pick it up(water skiing) pretty quickly and we have a biscuit (towable thingy you mentioned) they are inflatable and our 3 kids love it as do most people we take out with us. They will have a ball.
