They will get used to it. At first, I used to put my smaller one down first, then tell the other one that if she woke her sibling, she will have to lay down and rest with him when he went for his sleep the next day. She was always pretty pleased to stay up after him. They normally are so tired after a full day of play, that they just crash.
Be happy - take the family camping.

We have never had a problem with sgetting to sleep. Make sure they run amok all day and then they beg to go to bed.
Then there is always the "Drop Bears". They only come out at night and love grab little people no higher than your hips. They wil kak themselves.

After long day playing and walking they just collapse. Our do. Then again threatening to beat them into submission if they don't go to sleep is always a great back up!

Any man, in the right situation, is capable of murder. But not any man is capable of being a good camper. So, murder and camping are not as similar as you might think.

Thanks Nenie, she will not want to have an afternoon nap that's for sure!! Hopefully he will be so tired he will just crash.

Come on guys, ease up on my little fella - he's only 1! He just learnt to walk and if you do get cranky at him, he just thinks its hysterically funny. And if I told my 3yo girl about drop bears she would be sleeping next to me all night! Not my idea of a good nights sleep in the great outdoors!!

My boys where so dog tired at the end of the day when we were out camping that they would just crash. In fact it was often a rush to get them fed and washed before they started nodding off! All that fresh air and exercise - makes even the grown ups get a good nights sleep. I dont think you will have much problem in that area. its the early morning rising that is more the problem!

But when they got older, and shared their own little tent the giggles and chattering started all night. Not to mention 2 boys enclosed in a tent - how they could entertain themsleves for hours with bodily functions :?

Of course, the suggestion of the G&T is a good one - just drink enough of it that you dont care if the littlies are asleep or not!
smile ... it makes people wonder what you are up to :-)
