We saw that lavatree when my wife Chris & I honeymooned there in May 2009, meant to stop & take a photo but we forgot, thanks Gypsy!

Yes Dangar Falls is awesome... so is Dorrigo! we want to go back there & take the kids to see it too.

Did you see the railway museum? well they are trying to get it started... amazing to see all these steam loco's & old carriages etc just sitting there.....

Yes I did Michael....posted a pic of it somewhere on here. The lady in the Tourist Info Centre said that the rail museum had not gotten off the ground and it looked doubtful that it ever would.

Bugger! when we were there they had leaflets near the gate which said all about their plans.... looks like finance, or more like public liabilty issues killed it :?

The leaflets were still there Michael but in them the blame was being pointed in the direction of the local council for the holdups....carparks, toilet facilities etc.

I don't quite understand how/why any council would be party to not encouraging the tourist dollar and additional employment that the museum would bring to the town.

In the leaflets they also ask for donations and/or membership which is $50 per year.

Methinks what the woman said in the tourist info centre is probably closer to reality than what is written in the leaflets. It is always very easy to lay the blame elsewhere.
