New Post rankings

Postby Ozzycamperboy » Fri Apr 07, 2006 6:51 pm

You may have noticed new 'Rankings' underneath your screen names, these change with the more posts you get. Thought it'd be fun
Most of the different ranks are currently displayed with the regular posters, but theres a special one once you reach 200

People with less than 10 posts get the demeaning title of Newbie

Great Idea Ozzy,

Just quickly, I have noticed that Scols is a veteran at 130 post and you're a king at 104. Hmmm.

I was a bit upset at my ranking of boy scout, but then I realised my posts were quality driven, not quantity.

Cheers

Heheh, do not question the Camping King

Looks like a late 90's Hilux. 2.8 Diesel?

Its a 2003 3.0TD Hilux. Fuel consumption is probably up around 12 -13 litrs per hundred k. Used to be a whole lot better but with all the gear added, it weighs over 2.6 tonne when fully loaded.

Hmmm ... I knw the Navara diesel gets around 10litres/ 100k's.

We are consdiering getting a twin cab Tojo or Navara in four eyars time (that's when the son leaves school). It will come down to fuel consumption for the end choice.

Cheers Cheiffy.

If offroad performance/ruggedness is of any concern, go the Hilux over the Navara. The only good 4x4 Nissan have made is the patrol, but their usually $bucketloads$ more than a hilux, and chew more fuel.

Comparing torque and power re. the twin cabs and the Navara outshines the Tojo ... fuel consumption in the Navara is also better (marginally).

Personally I'd go for the Tojo as they hold their price much better than Nissan, although Nissan do ok as opposed to say Challenger and rodeo.

I have to agree with you Ozzy, the only Nissan I would buy is the Patrol. I have driven a Navara and walked away un-impressed. The limited amount of space compared to mine was ridiculous, I'd sooner look at a Rodeo before a Navara. They are a pretty smart looking car. Mind you people, we have a Rav as well, my parents have a camry, my brother has a Hilux and Camry and I have had two Hiluxes and one Camry as well. I am very bias towards Toyota, I believe they are simply a much better built vehicle, but its different horses for different courses.

Cheers
