Another new to camping

Postby carvinkath » Tue Nov 20, 2007 3:03 pm

Hi all,
Just wanted to find some people to go camping with - I think it's a bit dangerous going it alone these days. At the moment saving for a 5th wheeler and in approx 772 days hopefully, ill be heading off around oz.
I would love to come camping in Feb and looking forward to it and meeting some - know all about camping people.
I've only been out once and not too far from home (Brisbane) just to try things out. Had it all set up in the yard the weekend before to make sure I had everything. Do you have monthly outing? Thanks

G'day and welcome . The task is to have a meet every 2 months around Brisbane on weekends and progress from there. Hopefully other states will follow the trend. I don't think camping is dangerous at all . On the weekend we went camping and had a bunch of schoolies up the back. made plenty of noise till 4.30am Sat morning but they were told to leave and gone by 8:00 am . They were only having fun and we didn't feel threatened at all.

Following on from Barby-q we are only getting it started but we are hoping to have one about every 2 months.

Looking forward to seeing you in Feb!

Hey Karvin!!

I quite often go camping alone and have never encountered any problems. Of course I try to find sites around other campers... like to have at least another 3 tents in the area. I'm in the Brisbane area so if ever you feel like going give me a yell and we can see if we can arrange something. Welcome!
