Sailing on Wednesdays 2008

Postby Mullie Grub Clan » Wed Dec 12, 2007 12:42 pm

I decided to do this post because I have many people interested in going sailing.

Please see my other post for details

If there is anyone who is retired or not working on Wednesdays you are welcome to come aboard of a Wednesday...
We meet at RQ over at Manly at around 12 - 1pm and sail once all boats are given their starting times.

This is our RACE day and there is anything for 20 - 100 boats that go out on this day. It is heaps of fun and we have our main crew so if you would like to come along to sit back and relax you are more than welcome.
This is a personal invitation and you have to let me know if you are interested. You can not just rock up on the day wanting to come aboard.

Crew also are needed from time to time when Thallasa goes on long trips... eg 1 - 4 weeks exploring islands. This is a non paid position, you just have to pitch in with some expenses. Very cheap holiday.

If you have no ties and are interested please also feel free to let me no.
Cheers
Chick

Hi Kazzakanary

I believe that this is Wags (Wednesday Afternoon Go Sailing)
It is put on by a lot of different clubs.
Usually a race that has "no extras" ie no Spinnakers allowed etc.

It is a great way to get an introduction to sailing and meet people. etc
also an opportunity for owner/skippers to get out on the water with larger vessels.

Chick will advise more details I'm sure.

They definately don't sail on Fridays....
