Registrations are now being taken for the March 18 - 20 Dads & Kids Weekend Camp.
The venue is the Log Cabin Christian Camp in Creswick, just 15 km from Ballarat.
Do yourself and your kids a favour and register your attendance. From the camps that we have run previously there has not been one participant whose expectations of the weekend were not met.
Spend a weekend relaxing, socialising, learning and connecting with your kids. The weekend will be full of fun, adventure and challenges and learning but most importantly you will share some amazing times together as your relationship with your children steps up a level or two. This is an opportunity to spend some quality time with your children away from everyday pressures.
The weekend will consist of workshops, fun activities, plenty of free time and ample opportunity for both the dads & kids to make new friends or if they have been to a previous camp, to catch up with old ones. A great way to create memories that you and your children will treasure for a lifetime.
With hopefully warm weather make sure you pack the bathers and the sunscreen!
Some of the activities that will be on offer include horse riding, flying fox over the lake, swimming, scavenger hunt, archery, trampolines, canoeing, frisbee golf just to name a few [subject to change without notice].
Once the kids are off to bed, take the opportunity of sitting around with the other guys, having a drink, creating new and lasting friendships.
Here are some comments about previous camps we have conducted by some of the participants.
"I believe the 2 1/2 days at the camp created an environment to reinforce our relationship through some close and special moments, and so for me it was the best fathers day I've ever had. I'm sure this weekend will be remembered by my children for a very long time as it will by me." Antony, Alison 9, Christopher 8 Highett, Victoria.[Emerald, September 2004]
“The Fathers Day Weekend camp at Emerald will be an experience that my son, Andrew, age 9 and I will always remember and treasure. The organised activities enabled real bonding to occur, and many happy and wonderful memories will remain of the fun times. Andrew and I will also value the friendships we made at camp.â€. Louis [Prahran, Victoria]
“For me, I was hoping to connect with guys who had learnt how to avoid the traps on this rocky road we call "Family Breakdown". To see other blokes getting on with their lives and how they relate to their kids was important to me.â€
