Hmmm 4hrs drive is a fair bit. Whereabouts are you? Is this the closest, nice looking Nat park to you? I'm in crummy old sydney but we got some great places about 2-3hrs away, if your within 4hrs of ballina I dare say you'd prolly have a good choice of a few similar places. I'm afraid my knowledge of that general area is limited to torturous family holidays from atleast 10 years ago.... Hopefully sum1 esle will be able to help more.

Have not personally been there, but friends were regulars years ago. Loved it. Went there again and again. I'm pretty sure they had to take water, but they recommended it, but we never got around to going there. Live too far north now.

You can't beat anywhere in South Australia. We have it all. Forests, rural, outback and unrelenting deserts. Go the extra distance and feel the real thing! :D
