GESH $500 for a weekend away camping!
Man I thought Kel and I camped in luxury but thats a whole new level (and budget).
I spose theres a market for it though!

Personally for $500 for a weekend I think I'd actually preffer to stay in the city and go to the theatre and a nice resturaunt instead.

Thanx for that link Derek .... I have just discovered a local hire place that will save me from buying the gear I still require ... and trying before buying :armsup Including the Primus hot water system :+

Also the romantic getaway list is great if the people dont have camping equipment to start with but would like to try it as something different... ( kind of like if I booking a room in a resort with a pool and a spa .... for something different 8) )

I think that for a hard working couple this concept is absolutely fantastic.

The original article in On The Road was about a couple who wanted to canoe into the campsite.

They farmed the kids out for the weekend and set off on Friday afternoon arriving at camp just before dark and it was all there ready for them.

Great I reckon.

You woukld think at the price that the gas bottle would be filled. Can you imagine getting to the place all set to romance the other half, then jump into the car to find gas to make a coffee :booty

Has anyone seen the scene in 'out of africa' where Meryl Streep is camping with her lover in the african bush. It is so romantic.
A wind up record player(lovely classical stuff) and him washing her hair for her, ahh its just so loverly.

It is too, I had forgotten about that, it has been so long since I saw the movie. It IS a very romantic scene, almost sensual.
