But I dare say there's a lot of people out there who wouldn't be so polite and would say something else.
I don't think anyone's decided that you don't like kids, but as far as disturbances go most people would conclude that a dogs going to be more of a nuisance than a few kids staying up late. (your dog might be different, I don't know). And given that in other posts you made mention of taking your dog camping, they used that as a point to get their side of the argument across.
Exactly, and its the same in every forum whether it be internet based or in the real world. Express a different opinion and you've got to have the metal to back it up or walk away, or you can just carry on about how everyones picking on you.
Ozzy I don't believe for one minute that EVERYONE is picking on me. In fact I am not sure that I ever thought or even suggested Alan was picking on me. That is your assumption
which of course is again wrong!!!!
AND you are right you have absolutely no idea
of what my dog is like. More to the point I am still not sure why she should get a mention same as I don't recall ever mentioning Alan's children. He actually brought them into the equation .
And again when did I ever say that the idea of children going to bed applied to ANYONE other than people camping (privately) with me AND I might also add with the approval of their parents. All of which I have explained. Something you obviously did not bother to take on board.
Figure of speech or not, it is an inflamatory comment and IMO very rude when neither Alan or his children know anything about who I am. It is certainly not a comment one would make simply because one did not agree with anothers view.
Re your quote I don't think anyone's decided that you don't like kids
I suggest you read Alan's post again. He was a little more specific than you, he actually said 'after dark'.
My dog's bedtime is definitely not necessary in order to prove a point and for one who originally said this was not bickering you now mention that someone had to get their argument across
Funny now it needs and 'argument' in order to score points.....
I also don't recall saying anything specifically negative about Alan's children and I certainly don't RECALL saying that my rules applied to Alan's or any of the children associated with this forum.
Fact is I remember stating quite the opposite when asked.
AND when did I say that the children had a curfew due to 'disturbances'. They have a curfew because the general consensus is that their parents want to have some 'adult' time.
A curfew does not mean the children are quote locked up
Ozzy I am more than willing to oblige in keeping this 'bickering or argument or debate or difference of opnion' going for as long as you like.
I just don't believe that it is particularly pleasant for newcomers but hey if you think it otherwise, then be my guest...bring it on......
