Can camping be romantic?

A place to talk about anything well just about anything (this is a family show remember).

Of course! It's all about the love you put into it. :***

I'm a bit partial to the old burnt snag.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Speaking of cooking Derek.... I saw the competition (Thommo) at a recent camp oven cooking demo and I must say your culinary skills seem to leave him in the shadows.

Not that I don't enjoy hearing his stories, I do, but mini dampers and chilli prawns can only be done so many times......

Yep I love old Thommos stories as well. I have all of his DVD's here.

In a few weeks I'll post up the menu I will be cooking at the Brisbane National 4x4 Show & Outdoors Expo.

A few new things in the camp ovens as well as some old favorites. I have been allocated one hour for each day of the expo on stage and am looking at cooking 5 dishes in that time each day.

Hopefully some of it will be on TV.

Hehehehehehe.

That means cooking five separate meals in five camp ovens at once. About the only preparation will be cutting and measuring.

I may also take my 14 inch Camp Chef Oven and cook a big batch of popcorn for the kids.

That is the sort of thing the public love, probably never do it themselves but love the concept.
