Family of 4 who love camping in the Great South East

Postby P.C_Icky » Wed Feb 13, 2008 5:01 pm

Hi we are a family of 4 with a boy aged 3 and a girl 15 months. We own a camper trailer and just cant wait to go on one of your camping trips so that our little ones have kids to play with and we can sit around have a drink or two and socialise with grown ups for a change. :beer We enjoy bush camping mainly at Goomburra. We have viewed your planned camping trips and they sound great. Hope to go camping again soon.

Welcome Guys. Gee Goomburra must be a stroll up the road from Yamanto. We mainly stay at manna gums, though with a stop off at Aratula to buy some passionfruit butter at the fruit shop. Though the coldest night camping was at Goomburra, as my wife keeps reminding of it.

Look forward to see you at one of our gatherings. :armsup

Thanks for your warm welcome. We cant make the next gathering due to work commitments but the one after sounds promising cant wait to meet you all.

And Troy I know exactually what your wife is complaining about we camped at Goomburra 2 years ago on the Queens Birthday long weekend we had a bucket of water to wash our hands in and it froze overnight it felt a little like sleeping in a freezer hehe

Hi Paul & Chrissy and WELCOME to the forum. Lots of great advice and good camping times are on offer here.

Goomburra is definitely a great place to camp and there are plenty more about as well. It is great to see young families getting out and enjoying the great outdoors. I think the younger you start the kids camping the more they enjoy it as they grow, it becomes second nature to them.

The youngest babe I have come across camping was 3 weeks old and I have no doubt he will love it just as much as his older siblings do.

Cheers...
