So come on, post up. I know there's at least 5 or so in Sydney and Central Coast to Wollongong's included.

Also just to start the ball rolling :

Do we have other campers with kids for this gathering ?

Are we looking at amenity blocks ?

What part of the year do we like to camp ?

Inland / Coastal ?

There's a few more options if we're looking around the 'just north of Sydney' area.

Patonga'a a nice spot, but VERY over-crowded, even in off peak times.

I think the reference to Palmdale might be leading to the Wadigans, also a nice spot, but also very popular, especially with the trail bikes :(

Other otptions, without heading too far inland, might be Barringtons / Glouster River ?

I know Glouster River is grassed, has one of those flash bio pits, is close to running water and is easily gotten to by 2wd.

My fav is within the Chichester State Forest, has the same grassed sites, along water, pit toilets, very nice and is also 2wd friendly.

There are other nice spots in amonst Yengo Nat park just off Wisemans Ferry. All sites are fenced off, good for tents ets, not so good for CT's :(

Also just to start the ball rolling :

3yo daughter
Are we looking at amenity blocks ?

If I want the wife to join me, then yup !
What part of the year do we like to camp ?

Not too hot, not too cold, so I guess April (late)/May/June
Inland / Coastal ?

Don't care, as long as we're not travelling to the other side of the state 8)

My youngest "kid" is 18 and he probably wouldn't come.
Are we looking at amenity blocks ?

Preferably, at least a good pit toilet

Inland / Coastal ?

Again, don't care. Would prefer a less crowded spot

I reckon if we're traveling more than 2hrs from Sydney, may as well make it 3 and do it at Mungo - beaches, lakes, river, toilets, shops, and not crowded out of season.

I know a good spot practically in Sydney, but it's now a private time share type holiday park :( . Still got places to camp near it but its rough.

I'm limited with what dates I can make it as I don't live in Sydney, so am hoping that this will coincide with one of my visits down there..... long shot but anyways. I'm down in April, and Nov and prolly once more in between those two months but no date set so I guess its a bit of a pain.

Lithgow? Its pretty close to Sydney, there's pit toilets and the glow worm tunnels are a great spot to take kids if anyones bringing any. There's 4bying around there so a good chance I will say hallo, and then dissapear for most of the day

How does April 12/13th sound?
