Good menu selection there GL! :armsup

If people want to give their views, comments etc, I will put up a poll. Perhaps if we can come down to a short list or just put up the list.

My thoughts

Andrew Drynan Ok

Goomburra Valley ok - they can be bloody cold in winter :--?

Rossmore Park, I will check out the webpage. Friends went to a gold diggings area up near Kilikivan and said it was good fun. They get tailings from the Gold Mine in Gympie and you can pan through it. hey might pay for the weekend
Lekuva & Baramabah - Will look on their webpages.

Sommerville - I'd yes if it wasn't winter time (hey I'm not setup for snow camping  )

Tamborine too crowded for my liking, sorry folks.

Also folks remember the which weekend poll. At the moment long weekend has it!

:+ Great choices GL, will have a better look at them all again and look forward to seeing where and what date you all decide on.

Just as a side note...The Mitsubishi 4wd club that l am a member of will be at Levuka on the Queens Birthday long weekend so will be unable to attend if it becomes that weekend, but would be really great if you all ended up there so l wouldn't miss out on seeing you all again.

Time will tell l guess

I'm easy with any(provided we can make it) I like to go to places I have never been before and I have been to none of them.

My comment is..... 'anywhere' can be cold in winter for some people and for others it is not an issue.

If camping in the cold causes you some concern then a June camp is probably not for you.

I have booked into Sommerville Valley for a week in June and I figure with a powered site it will not be a concern at all. I did camp in a dome tent on an airbed at Levuka one year in June and the temp was minus 3.

I would also recommend that you decide fairly quickly and book for as Troy pointed out to me if it is the long weekend you choose then getting in might be issue with some of these places.

If anyone is interested in 4WDriving on the weekend, there is a great 4WD Park just up the road from Goomburra Valley.

I did not choose it as a possible camping destination as it is not 'pet friendly'.

How are we going to decide the venue? Will a poll be put up?

I thought that was the idea but maybe not....maybe it is just up for general discussion.
