I'm not sure but we may be away then, If we are not and we can make it I am very happy where ever we end up. If you have a "I dont care" button in the poll that would be my choice

Ok results from the poll below for the date. Hmm..... inconclusive.

Reading the comments, there were three supporting the long weekend and none against, so its going to be the long weekend. Yes a close result but have to make a call.

Good call Troy and thanks. I thought there were actually 3 votes against the long weekend.

BTW now all you have to do is figure out which venue....

Here is another thought Troy if you are having issues with traffic and going north to Rossmore Park.

Have you considered SGS at Canungra?? SGS had been chosen once before for a gathering so maybe the members might like to run with that as a possibility this time.

OK, I knowthere was interest in Rossmore Park, but considering the distance and hassles coming back from Borumba Deer Park, I have changed the venue to Andrew Drynan park, the second choice.

I would like to stress that other venues put up are not being excluded as future venues.

Rang the park today and they have plenty of space.

So if you want to come all you have to do is make a bookign direct with the park by ringing 5544 1281.

This is an overview of the park on the Scenic Rim Regional Council webpage,

"Andrew Drynan Park
Andrew Drynan Park is 47km from Beaudesert and 19km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road, south of Beaudesert, and Running Creek. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. The park is divided by Lions Road and care should be taken with children. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp among the tall trees. As some of the pools are deep, children should be supervised.

Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers -- a dip in the creek will keep you clean. Please don’t use soap or detergent.

Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd. Park located on Running Creek approximately 17km south east of Rathdowney.

Cost is $5 adults, $2 children, $15 family.

You can take your mutt, but there are no showers.

It does say that the road in is not suitable for caravans.

Hi All, beautiful park. We just got back from the long weekend there. We arrived Saturday night and set up in the dark with help from fellow campers :) they brought their LED lanterns over and had a good old cackle. Firewood was $10 for a drum / the half drums you find around the site. No showers, just loos and I suggest to the ladies in the morning to take ya roll of TP, as they come around about 10 to service and restock, and with the cooler weather you know how you just gotta go. We took the canoe but wasn't much point putting in as you could only row a bit and then hop out and drag it but the boys were EXTREMELY happy. Little munshkin caught his first bass on lure - legal, and FAT but we let go! The train is awesome too and great swimming holes!
Would have to say one of the best spots we've been camping - large campsites and it was relatively packed, although the chief advised it wasn't that busy at Easter and is normally quieter... the only bugga was having to pack up!!! I'm positive everyone will luv the place! Cheers Kez

Didn't take many pics - and forgot the camera every fishing trip - the boys (hubby and munshkin) were just go go go go go go go fishin!
