Qld - Boreen Point Camping Ground

Recently had a weekend at Boreen Point - a great spot! Sites were cheap, facilities were good, manager's very friendly and helpful. The fireplace was a definite bonus at this time of year. Most tent sites are right on the water, so you get to sleep at night hearing the peaceful lap of the water. Sunday lunch at the Appallonian hotel is a must - great food and enterntainment for less than $15 an adult. One of the better spots I've been that close to Brisbane.

Glad to hear it's still great, enjoyed many Sept school holidays there whilst growing up. Pub is nice, too.

a cousin also recommended Boreen Point.

I think the 'other' place on the lake is called Alanda Point, i've been there a couple of times as well as some family members and i would suggest that Boreen Point is the preferred choice even though i've never actually been to Boreen Point, it would HAVE to be better
