9:00 Meet at Beaudesert just past KFC outside the park on the RH side.
Look for a black Vehicle with the Australian flag on the arial.

Would love to be a part of a camping group and something like this sounds like a great start - however we don't have a 4WD. Is the day trip still a possibility without one?

Certainly hope so. My camping pal and I have been looking for a social group to take trips away with for quite some time. More fun with a group than just the two of us. I hope there'll be a good turn out for you.

Barby-Q, when you say "all members" does that mean newbies like me can tag along?

Attention all members . from newbie's to camping king's your all welcome to come along , that's the idea . As for if your 4wd vehicle will make it through , Yes . If you haven't a 4wd you take the high road at the intersection and we all meet at the same place, but that means you will have to lite the BBQ because you will be there first .  It's good to see the replies coming in at last.

in an extra reply toBugsy,....your Xtrail won't have any probs mate, some of the creek crossings( whichc there are 13) can be a bit deep after quite a bit of rain, but I don't think we'll have any probs with what weve had out this way so far. We went on a tag along tour out that way a couple of years ago, and a Rav with road tyres, and a dog in the back got through no worries!

Condamine Gorge trip

Postby Activity_Dept » Sun Jul 16, 2006 10:25 pm

OK Barby-Q you sound like you have been voted the official organizer. I am not in Brisbane unfortunately so u r in charge :D. We would love to see a group get started and if you can build on it we will eventually come to the party with some sponsorship stuff.

Do you have a map of the location you could post; we will try and help promote the day trip where we can, let us know how we can help. :D
