As a DRIVE IN??

So my wife say's! and she would know since I married her I was able to sell my encyclopedia Britannica because I had no more use for it. :P
Serious she has had the people who are doing it up come into where she works a number of times.

Spoke to my son last night who lives nearby and he says he has heard nothing other than it is a christian centre with the view to using the place occasionally for movies or similar. And apparently there has been nothing in the paper either. He says the field has been used for another building and whilst the screen is still in place there is not a lot of room left for cars.

So it looks like we will have to wait and see, your wife may very well have the heads up on it:-))

I was running late for work. so I just googled something like "tivoli drive in" and it led to a forum post which explained it still being a drive in sort of!
The Tivoli Drive in theatre is re-opening as a cruise / movie venue for car enthisiasts.

A Cruise night will be held on Fri March 28th.
Let's get the Mopars Packed in there.

I believe the intention is to open it up once or twice a month for the car events.

The Venue & contact details
Tivoli Miracle centre Drive in Theatre & Function Centre.
50 Coal Rd Chuwar. Contact Col Chapman 0437 081 805

Honest I do not frequent any Valient 6 cyl forums ;)

Think I saw that info on their website. Did the article say if it was open to the general public or just for specialised groups??

its open to the general public, but what I cant understand is their choice of first movie, "space jam" a animation meets real life type movie about basketball. I remember when wet n wild had their very first dive in movie and it was "Jaws". Tivoli could have had some cool 70's movie to keep in the retro theme, or at the very least the pixar movie "cars".
