Oztrail 12x9 cabin tent

Postby Wilko » Sat Jun 17, 2006 7:29 pm

hi All

My wife and i now have the camping bug and want to upgrade to a canvas tent. After much looking we like the look of the oztrail cabin tent.
Has anyone had any practical experience with this type ie setup etc?

Your feedback is appreciated.

If you follow this link viewtopic.php?t=241&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= you'll find a piccy of our set up.. Including the awning on the end it's about '22X'10 give or take... it's a Himalayan Brand canvas tent Spose to stand up to 100 kph winds.... ::() It takes about 30 mins/
6 :beer on your own, about twelve with the wife and kids helping.. we can set up our queen size and a single air/pressure matress in the rear room and walk round all off them.. the boys have king size double bunks.. and the clothing rack/cuboard.. in the front and a small table and chairs.. all our perishables go in the massive esky on the trailer and we carry everything else in the trailer.. the whole setting up thing is the key to the whole adventure really...

I forgot to update this thread   I love my tourer 9 tent very quick and easy to put up but if you have a family a tourer 10 or a cabin tent would be more suited as the tourer 9 has only enought room to put our queen size air bed, clothes and food boxes in. I could possibly squeeze the fridge in if I had to in bad weather but it would be hard walk around it!
