PJ, yes its 2wd at the campground as it is in the township of Imbil. Be careful where you camp, if it rains you might have some difficulties getting up some of the slopes. keep an eye for the MV rattler!

Yes as Troy has said PJ it is black top all the way and right on the eastern edge of the town on the righ hand side of the road.

The Mary Valley Rattler comes on Wednesdays and Sundays from memory and stops at the pub for lunch. It is well worth a look see. Not sure if the small markets are on down the street every sunday, you might want to ask Tony, Jim or Maryann when you book.

Enjoy......

Cheers Gypsy

Good on you PJ, have a good one and enjoy.

I am off next week also for 5 days camping with friends and really looking forward to it also. Feels like yonks since I have been camping when I am sure it has only been a few weeks.

Hey Gypsy my puter is up and running :+
My weekend was great !! AND not even cold,i didn`t have a jumper on the whole 4 days,at night i just had a long sleeve shirt my beanie and slippers,no fire. I was surprised at the traffic noise at night though the days were quiet.Would have like a couple of extra days but work called. My fur kids loved it too.

Where did you camp PJ that the traffic noise was a problem?? I can honestly say that has never been an issue any time I have camped there.

Down near the canoes, there were trucks going through at night using the air brakes, when i mentioned it to my brother he also wondered why they were coming through Imbil.

The main industries up there are dairy and forestry, which both have a lot of trucks! It was most likely forestry.

Maybe it is different at holiday time and weekends which are the only times I have been there. I can honestly say traffic noise has never been an issue and I have never camped as far down as where you were.

Did you happen to mention it to either Tony, Jim or Maryann??
