This should help wragee viewtopic.php?f=47&t=1088
It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

That sounds like a great excuse to go camping again then.

Haha I was away last weekend.

Seems we dont take many shots around the camp site most of our shots are taken on the journey to, from or around our camping location

Mmmm Sausages ^^^^

Well we started off in the back of a ute (for sleeping & gear in handmade cuboards under the bed - included all of hubbys tools!).

Then I think we actually brought this before kid no one came along for a bargain price of $1200 or something like that and did a little bit of work to it...
Image

We then got a desire for the good life, or should I say kid no 2 came along and we found we needed something a bit more "mozzie proof" since we were living in Darwin at the time and about to move to Townsville so along came...
Image

Only about a year after that and third time lucky we found our ideal camper trailer...

But now we've found a place to settle down (on a rural block), so we sold one of the 4x4's (the 80 series) and traded it for a smaller family car, the camper was then no longer suitable for the new car and we have finally gone to this, evolution in reverse!

Image
We will still probably have to tow a small trailer (well if we want to keep the 60L fridge as that's just about the only thing that will fit in the back of the car!).
The standard gear is stuff like gas bottle, stove, cutlery of sorts & pots, plates etc. Lights, sleeping bags, spare blankets, tarp. matresses, fridge, car battery for power (don't have dual batteries in new car!). Really when you think of it you don't need that much gear, but somehow it just seems to add up!

This is our set up at Somerset Dam, we have since upgraded the dome tent to a 15x12 canvas cabin tent - heaps of room for the family of four. No good us having a camper trailer as that would make it too hard to tow the boat!!

Cheers and beers
