I finally did it!

Postby amanda » Wed Sep 17, 2008 12:36 pm

After a few months of debating, scrutinising, inspecting and deliberating, I've finally bought a CT. I'm VERY excited and can't wait for it to arrive (sometime between now and next Friday). My only dissappointment is that we booked a week's holiday to Magnetic Island ages ago, and are due to leave in about 4 weeks time. Now I don't want to go and waste a week of my leave going somewhere without my new toy - suddenly Magnetic Island has lost all it's appeal.

I ended up buying from the same trailer manufacturer as madcamper did a few weeks back - TDS in Yamba. Not a brand name, but it has all the features I was after, none that I didn't want, and I'm sure I'll be very happy with it.

My CT is here - yay!!!!! No photos yet unfortunately (other than it sitting in the garage which is very boring) - it will go for it's first run on the weekend of the 11th, so I'll post some then.

amanda wrote:Hi Derek - having just come back from my first weekend in the camper, complete with torrential rain, all I can ask you is why would you get rid of one? We loved it, despite the rain, because for the first time it really didn't matter what the weather was doing because we had a spacious, protected annexe to sit in without worrying about what was going on outside. At one point on Saturday we had 8 people inside sitting around comfortably, out of the wind and rain, playing board games and enjoying a wine to two. Maybe you just need to get back out again and remember how great it is. Are you coming to Sharp Park in November - it could be a good way to kick start your weekends away again????

Hi Amanda

Just wondering how your weekend and new camper went...sounds like it might have been a winner in spite of the rain. Good stuff....
