Bunya Mountains NP

Postby Leebies » Mon Oct 13, 2008 1:02 pm

Planning to go to Bunya Mt NP in November with friends. Trying to get some information about the different camping areas to decide which one to book - Dandabah, Burtons Well, Westcott.

Has anyone been here before? We are looking for somehwere a more secluded. Will have two tents and a tarp.

Any suggestions / reviews would be appreciated!!

I wouldn't say any of those campgrounds are secluded. Dandabah is the busiest of the three, becuae you are in the main village part of the mountains.

On the booking system you will see how many vacanies they have left, so you can judge how busy these places will be when you want to go. Click the button Availability Calender. The capacity of Dandabah is 70 persons, Burtons Well is 50 and Westcott is 30. So they are not big grounds anymore.

Also it can still be quite cool at night up there even in the summer months.

Thanks Troyk. :+

Won't have time to get there before we go in November. Would you recommend one of the three above the other?
