Thanks for the tip Ben.

Gypsylady; you can view the listings on the homepage i.e. http://www.camping.com.au the search results. The database would need to be accessed remotely via your browser if that was the question.

What a great list and thanks for making it available to us.

We have alway had dogs and they have always travelled with us wherever we go. They are family afterall.

Our current little friends are two fem. Maltese and the oldest 10yo has been to a lot of places many Ozys have never even heard of including a night in the Hydro Majestic in the Blue Mountains [don't ask  ] and a two week stay in a resort in Coolam on the Sunshine Coast. Because they are small they really are no trouble at all.

OK then I can add a few sties from our experiences a bit further south;

It will be good to keep them in mind for when new members ask for possible venues in that area.

Gypsylady
You asked for feedback on Standown Park.
Located halfway between Gympie and Tin Can Bay. Owners Rod and Pam Elkington are currently doing the big lap, leaving their daughter Prue in charge.
Very dog friendly. Dogs to be on lead around camping areas, and not to be in area of camp kitchen etc, however large area where dogs can be excercised offlead. Larger than average sites with lots of open space.
Very friendly park targeted at Vietnam vets, ex servicepeople and over 50's. No real faciilities for children.
This is the friendliest park we have stayed at. Happy hour and open fire every night, with regular events such as shared dinners etc. Christmas is a really special event.
Those who visit once just seem to keep coming back.

Thanks for the feedback Alan...it is definitley a must do for me then.

I was planning on going there for Easter 2009 but something else has come up that has necessitated a change in plans.

I will do it some time in the new year though.

Cheers.....

I have just returned from 2 weeks camping at Kilkivan Bush Camping (also known as Rossmore Park) http://www.bushcamping.com.au/

It would have to be one the the best pet friendly campgrounds that I have ever come across. All the profits from the sale of soft drinks and ice go to the RSPCA

Sorry Coyotte I cannot answer that question but suggest that you email Steve at kilkivan@bushcamping.com.au and ask the question.

I think most state forests in Qld are ok but that is only a guess on my part.
