Door mats for tent

Do people use some sort of door mat for the door of their tent? What do you use to take shoes off and ensure no mud, etc enters the tent. What sort of mat? Those puzzle piece floor mats? Rubber mats? Or nothing.

I use a thick rubber mat, similar to this one:

We use a set of those clip together rubber mats - about $20 from K-Mart.

I have a pic at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2952 if you want to check out what they are.

Inside the tent we nearly always end up with sand and dust. We just sweep up with a dustpan and brush before we pack up.

Mind you there are only 2 adults camping and I have been well domesticated by Jo.

We have a camper trailer, and use black shade cloth mesh in the annex area. On top of that we have a $6 floor mat bought from Big W. When all that fails we have a broom & dustpan which we use to sweep out prior to packup.

Small rubber mat but one that allows for the sand and dirt to fall through

I use rubber mats like the one Amanda has shown, only I buy the ones from the supermarket which cost about $6 or $7.

I also use a hessian bag as well.

We use wheat bags, one outside the tent and one just inside the door, they manage to catch most of the dirt and can just be taken outside and shaken out, then we usually have a small dustpan and broom to give it a quick sweep out when we pack it up.
