We dont have a Drifter kitchen we have 4 large plastic drawers at the back tail gate of the camper (2 on bottom & 2 on top).We keep just about everything in these. One for cups, bowls, plates, wine glasses etc, another has cutlery, sharp knives, tongs, firelighters, net pop up flycovers, spatulas, serviette, bbq tools, another we have canned food, biscuits, cereal, gerkins, olives, beef stock, tinned tomatoes, etc and the other has first aid kit,tea towels, tablecloth, pot mitts, garbage bags, washing up cloth & liquid, batteries, toilet roll, insect repellant, etc. We have 3 small plastic containers with handles on them which sit next to the drawers. One is for drinks(tea, coffee, sugar, milo, choc milk straws for kids), one is condiments(sauces,s&p,mayo, mustards, etc) and the other has brekky stuff(jam, honey, vegemite etc). All of this is accessable when we drop the back tailgate.
We have a 6ft trestle table that folds in half and goes in the back of the camper with the chairs etc and we also have a lockable plastic tub in which we have our stoves and pots and pans.
When we set up camp we have the table set up next to the tailgate of the trailer and we take the two top drawers(tinned food one & kitchen stuff one) out and stack on top of each other under the table also the plastic container with the stove also goes under the table. So everything is in easy reach and really quick to pack up but leaves us with heaps of room in the trailer for all our other crap. We also have a butane stove in the container as its easy and quick for overnight stops. So far this set up has worked really really well and we can fit heaps in, but it will have its big test over Xmas when we go for two weeks.
Will have to post some photos after our Xmas trip.
