Very cool :+
It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

This trailer is available in Aus ( think it is called Camp o Let here). I looked at them before settling on the Cub.

It's available and has been for maybe 5 years. It's called 'Camplet' here and we only have one or two of the models available.

The current model available (according to the website http://www.camplet.com.au) is the Savanne ... and I notice that they spell camplet with and without the hyphen.

When first available in Aus, they had 10 inch wheels and now they are available with 12 or 13 inch wheels.

We've looked and looked at them and although light enough to be towed by our Hyundai Accent, they are complex with many poles, guys and a lot of features we don't need. The worst feature in our opinion is that both the beds can only be accessed from the foot. They are not island beds - in fact, few trailer type campers have them and many caravans don't have island beds, either. Having to crawl down to the foot of the bed to get out is not something either of us oldies can contemplate. It is only marginally better to have one person get out of bed to allow the other to get out ... the simplest if less romantic solution is to have single beds.

It was the very complexity of the setup (and pulldown!) plus the almost impossible situation with the beds that finally decided us not to proceed with buying a camplet. We've now gone back to a tent anyway, seeing that as meeting our current needs.

Have a great week
