I reckon if we're traveling more than 2hrs from Sydney, may as well make it 3 and do it at Mungo - beaches, lakes, river, toilets, shops, and not crowded out of season.

I presume you mean Mungo Brush?? That would be fine by us - we spent a weekend at Banksia Green a couple of weeks ago (Mungo Brush was a bit crowded) and enjoyed it.

Lithgow? Its pretty close to Sydney, there's pit toilets and the glow worm tunnels are a great spot to take kids if anyones bringing any. There's 4bying around there so a good chance I will say hallo, and then dissapear for most of the day

I guess I am sitting on the fence :!: Really any place within 2-3 hrs of Sydney would be great, and both places are where we would like to go again.

Reason I suggested lithgow and that particular weekend is it looks like I'll be going there 4x4ing for an overnighter. Would be great to do it then cause I don't get down to Sydney much.

Camping in the main ground is ok except for the 2 stroke mozzies. They usually stop after dark though.

Is the 12/13 during school holidays, I'd really like to go to Newnes but for me it'd have to be the second week of school holidays due to my kids sport

April is now out for me. Also May is getting pretty full. The November time slot is looking better. We are off to the desert in August, so after September we'll be looking for another weekend away.

OK i'll throw my hat into the ring, there are a mulitude of places 2 to 3 hrs from Sydney that will hold a group, if evryone can decide on a date, i can supply a good camping area, some will have a pit/longdrop and some won't have anything.

All bar one are dog friendly, oh and best of all they are free.

What about 2/3 August or 9/10 August.

I think the problem is the living distance between all the NSW members. That and personal and working issues that put a halt to planning for weekends i guess
