Postby darkproject2 » Fri Jan 09, 2009 9:08 pm

hello everybody,

Im new to this site, I signed up for some local camping info so I thouigh Id introduce myself before the questions start coming.

quite bit about myself, Im from Geelong, Vic and am pretty outdoors sort of person. Im one of the people who have seen more of the world really than of aus but im trying to change my ways place by place.

I have camped a fair bit around near my local area, lorne and the otways both in unpowered/powered caravan parks and through one or two few day hikes.

As per most people due to lifestyle (mainly work) I dont get out camping as much as I could but Im learning to take more advantage of my weekends and the current weather

Hi darkproject2 and WELCOME to the forum. Lots of members here willing to shrare their tips and tricks for successful camping trips.

One thing I find with a heavy work schedule where camping is concerned is that sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and just 'do it'.

Cheers GL

:hello:

I'm new too but am in the UK
I regularly use a UK forum UKCamsites and have followed a fellow Brit - Rexgrant - on to your boards.
I thought it may be interesting to see how similar or different our experience are.
Obviously our weather being the main difference - no comments please :*** :***
We may even spot a bit of sun this year (not counting on it though)

If you fancy joining our boards then please do as we are a very friendly, welcoming bunch with lots of advice and information.
Keely :-)
