I have a 12 y/o son who will be needing employment after he leaves school ... and I dont think the coastal QLD areas north of Bundy can offer that ... :( ...

Wonder if Kramer wil be offering Traineeships in 2012?

I don't know anyone or their kids who "want" a job that hasn't got one in Gladstone.

Lots of industrial work as well as the usual 9 to 5 stuff. I think you would be surprised, hook the camper up and check it out when you've got a few spare days

Mid 2008 we hope to be in Hervey Bay (parents just moved there).

would LOVE to live there (Bundy, Gladstone NOT HB) ... If we sold our house here in Perth we would get two houses in Bundy! (Not sure of Gladstone).

Give me more reasons! (Besides the Canadian on your fourbie ... :?# )

We're heading over to Facing Island (10mins to barge, 30mins to island) in a couple of weeks......good fishing, clean beaches, clear water, rock pools, very few people, dogs and fires allowed.

Unless we decide to camp at the back of Awoonga Dam down near the water and chase some of the metre plus Barra from the canoe

Tip 1: Don't drink too much beer whilst fishing. wait until you've caught something!

Back of Awoonga camping

Postby gqpatrol » Mon Sep 04, 2006 7:48 pm

Yes well, I've heard of this spot - how do you get to it, or is it a state secret. Camped at Awoonga CP in 2000, caught a few barra, but now we live in Rocky would like to camp by the water, maybe flick some lures, and get some redclaw! If it's a state secret I want to know!! Have 4b so can go anywhere Yay difflocks. :+
