I'm a big fan of peach trees (we visited again last year), the one thing I will say is beware of extended heavy rain. We were flooded in at Xmas 2007, and had to stay another day with limited supplies. Below is the only bridge into the park (under 3m of water)

I think there were many places that were flooded in over the 2007 Christmas Break. My car was caught near Tyalgum in northern NSW - it took two weeks before the water receded enough for us to get it out.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Hi Troy
I've been crusin around the forum trying to look for a site for Easter not to far from Ipswich. I imagine it would only be a couple of hours from there. Firstly do you or anyone else know how busy Peach Trees gets at Easter and secondly we will be going with friends who have 2 younger kids. Is this site good for kids??? Or can anyone offer any other suggestions.
thanks Bella

Bella, like most places within a short drive from Brisbane it sure does get busy at Easter however looking at the booking page there are still a lot of places available but would suggest booking soon if going.

There is a creek however I always found it to be a great place for my kids.

Hi Bella

I would also recommend Island Reach at Imbil. http://www.ircamping.com.au/

It will possibly be busy but not frantic.

The water hole is ice cold and the 20c showers are heaven at the end of a hot day!

Just for everyone's info I was up at Peach Trees this weekend and there are no longer hot showers. According to the EPA could be out for quite some time.

I have only even heard good reports about PT but it is one of the EPA campgrounds that is not pet friendly, which leaves me out unfortunately.
