A good place to rent camping tent? NSW

Postby talkingtree » Tue Feb 24, 2009 9:31 am

Hi, I'm planning to go from Sydney to Myall's lake

Does anyone know where's a good place to rent a tent for around 3 days?

IMO the money you would pay to rent one would buy you one.

Yeah not really familiar with Chatswood. But I know there's some camping and disposals stores in the Sydney CBD, not too far for you.

There's a BCF in Auburn, bit on the other side of Sydney for you though. http://www.bcf.com.au/store-locations/b ... tions.aspx

Jump on yellow pages and look for camping stores, there should be heaps.

When you planning on leaving? I got a lil 2 man tent you could borrow for a 6 pack, but I wont be in Sydney till next week.

Failing that, BIG W and similar all sell half decent tents under $100. So like PJ said, its hardly worth the bother renting one.

If you only want it for one weekend and you don`t plan future camping just go to K mart or Big W and get a four man tent for about $80 bucks, enough room for a decent sleep and to keep your bag in.

Keep an eye out for the upcoming Easter specials at Kmart in particular, their Jackaroo brand tent is pretty good for a reasonably priced tent.

And WELCOME to the forum talkingtree
