Neurum Creek Bush Retreat 20th & 21st March

Postby lorichevy8 » Wed Feb 25, 2009 5:13 pm

Hi,

Anyone interested in heading up to Neurum Creek 20th & 21st March??

This will be our first trip in the new CT. We have a lovely spot booked right near the amentities and the swimming hole.

If you want to come just let me know. You will need to call Neurum Creek to book in but anyone is welcome.

I know Derek but I only realised after we booked it. I think there is another show on at the Gold Coast soon.

That is Election day too.

I also don't like the extra $7.00 fee that they charge and cannot explain.

Would love to go...but I gotta work that weekend..
Work 3 out of 5 weekends.

I've been there before.
Great spot, just don't like that $7 first night charge either.

What is the fee for?
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

They can't tell you Amanda which is why I don't like the place. I asked if it was an adim fee or a fee for removing the rubbish and she said 'no' to both.

She then went on to say that the longer I stayed the cheaper it was which is not doable when you only have weekends to camp.

Eventually she sort of agreed that maybe it was introduced rather than putting the cost per night up......if you are only staying 1 or even 2 nights at $9 per person no power in off peak times it makes it a little expensive IMO. Their peak season is any long weekend, Xmas & Easter & it goes up to $10.80 per person + the extra $7.

They also have a fee for pets as well & there are plenty of places where one can camp with their canine family without any additional fee.

The one thing I do like about the place is that from time to time one of the local wineries Hunting Lodge Estate comes in to provide all with some wine tasting. They have the best Yowie Port.

Smart move... This the first time in I don't know how many elections that I will not be camping at election time & it has always been a pain to have to think about how to deal with the 'vote'....

The Gold Coast one is on the 13th to 15th March. I'll be there with the Gold Coast 4wd Club helping on the demo track and cooking scones on the camp fire for all.
