A pom living in Rockingham WA

Postby markcrook » Thu Mar 19, 2009 1:46 pm

Hi,

Well I am getting into this forum thing - it helps pass the time at work and keeps me out of trouble!

We live in Rockingham (about 1/2 hour South of Perth), I am married and have 2 girls, 8 and 6, We have been camping for about 6 years. Started in the UK in a tent, then a trailer tent - had a few trips to france, which was good. So we are used to camping in the rain!

We now have a Coleman Chalet CV9, all the kit lives in a trailer that hooks up to my 2005 3.7 Jeep Cherokee. We are in the market for an off-road camper trailer, then want to go bush for the first time (preferably with somebody who knows what they are doing!).

Most of the time we head South, Bunbury, Bussleton and Margaret River and try to get away for as many weekend as possible. We are heading up to Kalbarri in april.

We all love camping there isn't a better way to chill out, kick back and relax

Mark

WELCOME Mark & glad to hear you are getting into this forum.

Good to see that you have those youngsters out and about in the great outdoors.

I am told that Rockingham is an especially nice part of the world, so lucky you.

It is on my list of to do places when I finally retire and get on the road....

Welcome to the forum.....We recently sold our house which was in Port Kennedy where we lived for about 10 years. Great part of the world with easy access to some great 4wding and camping.....I was heavily involved with Peel 4wd Club in Rockingham (President at one stage). A great bunch of people with a good family, camping outlook.....Wrt campers, have a look at another forum which is specifically on Camper trailers called Myswag.org. Between here and there your should gain heaps of info.....

Cheers and welcome again.........
