NSW Newbie Here!

Postby Woo Hoo » Wed Apr 15, 2009 3:04 pm

:hello: Hi, I stumbled accross this forum while looking for camping spots.
I have a husband and a toddler and we all enjoy bush camping. I am always on the lookout for secluded spots with great walks.
We just returned from Coolah Tops and Goulburn River national parks, both are beautiful, but got packed over easter so we bailed out on Friday and went to a motel!
I am now searching for a good spot somewhere between Dubbo and Murrurundi (or Scone) if anyone has any tips?

Hi Woo Hoo and WELCOME to the forum.

Barrington Tops are nearish to Scone so you might want to have a look there. http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/Natio ... x?id=N0002

Check out this link also: http://www.stateparks.nsw.gov.au

Might be worth a look back through the old posts here as well, there is some great info contained in them.

Cheers......

Our Gypsy worked very hard to earn that title! I must say it's a bit more impressive than Mr (or Mrs) Dribble that I have now copped.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

I don't really know Whoo Hoo, think I disagreed with someone at some time and one or all of the Mods decided that was to be my title.

I do remember saying at some time that I felt it was better than being a post whore!!

I also especially like being the one and only.....

I must admit I have also wondered about that too Amanda and just how it came about.

Before I hit 1000 posts I was "Grandpa Talks Alot Hey" and now I get Mr (or Mrs) Dribble! A bit male oriented on both counts I feel. I'd be keen for something new...hint, hint......

I agree Amanda, I also did not like the 'Grandpa' reference either..... Any idea of how the current one came about??
