Furphys jaffle irons

Postby yenben24 » Sat Apr 18, 2009 7:35 pm

Hi all,

We came across a Furphys double square jaffle iron today at a second hand shop. I haven't heard of a square Furphys jaffle iron before, I'm not a collector of these but everbody knows the name. Anyone have any info on these? Any info appreciated, couldn't find any info on they're website.

Thanks in advance

Peter

As far as I know Furphy only ever made a round Jaffle Iron. Do you have any photos of it.

Below are photos of the Furphy Jaffle Iron

Wow Derek! What a cute design you would have stamped onto your jaffle.... it's better than the standard cross hatch pattern on most jaffle irons

Hi gypsylady, Yes we did purchase it, it looks way too old to be chinese. To me it looks maybe 50+ years old.

Here are the photos from yenben24. I am amazed as I didn't know that Furphy made such a beast. Yes this is definitely a genuine Aussie made Furphy

I dont have any info, but just want to say what an amazing find!
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home, in towns and cities. -Nessmuk
