New Adelaide based Family

Postby borstalboy » Mon Apr 20, 2009 7:36 pm

My wife and I have decided to drag the kids away from all things that beep and show them theres more to life the whats on a screen. We had no gear at all three weeks ago, but now we have sleeping bags for all. I made sure my wifes was a really warm one. We have air mattresses, stoves that use the little cans. Good camp chairs and a table but I might get another one. All sorts of torches and lanterns. I check all the ads for second hand tents thinking I would have to spend around $500 for a good one, but I found a canvas one for $80, I reckon its a bargin(I hope the pic works)

I am hope to do an overnighter at first in the next couple of weeks then a four day trip around end of May maybe either in the Flinders or Deep creek or York pen for some fishing depends all on weather.
Anyway I look forward to reading all your posts and learning a lot. We will be taking pics everywhere we go so you will see where we end up.

Hi borstalboy and WELCOME to the forum.

One thing I might suggest is to reduce the size of your pics before posting and second is to go back and read some of the older posts. There is a huge amount of info contained in them and they make for some great reading

One that comes to mind is a simple question about which toaster....really well worth reading and quite some time back.

Have a play with the search function too.....

Cheers Gypsy....

Welcome borstalboy,

Nice score with the tent. Looks in excellent condition.

It always rains on tents. Rainstorms will travel thousands of miles, against prevailing winds for the opportunity to rain on a tent.

You got a bargain with that tent - well done and welcome.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!
