Postby wazza73 » Wed Sep 13, 2006 10:56 am

Hi all

Just wanting ideas to go camping canoeing/kayaking and 4x4ing around south east Qld.

would prefer flat water and somewhere that you can get an offroad camper trailer into,

Any ideas would be great. I have been upto noosa north shore area before and that was great but looking for any other ideas

A lot of people go canoeing around Bucca and Smiths Crossing in Bundaberg if you want to go that far north. Its plat water and where the Australian team trained for the olympics in 200 I think. Bitumen road access and you can camp there, if at Bucca there is a great pub down the road as well! Many a night woken up beside the river and not knowing where the hell I am!

Just got back from 5 days at Elanda Point

That place is very nice. spent a night out kayaking up through the noosa river and id some day trips out of elanda the other days.

Plus there is some nice off roading around there as well.

I would definatly return to that park
