Hi all, we are new to this game. Have spent hours reading thru the comments and have found really interesting ideas etc. Has been a lot of help. We have brought an old 1980 poptop, it's in really good order, and tow with a VS Commodore Ute 1995. Have just added a canopy to the ute to carry more 'stuff' Have done a couple of short trips, one to Bourke and one to Lightning Ridge. Have just spent a couple of nights in a free camp area and had the time of our lives, bbqing over a campfire, watching the stars and going to bed happy. Looking forward to many more of these entertaining nights!! Getting quite a few ideas from other campers, vanners etc found everyone very friendly. Hoping to get a few ideas off you people who are 'old hands' at this game, thanks
p.s. Baradine is in Northwestern NSW near Coonabarabran. Was a Sleeper Cutter town in it's heyday, now known for the Pilliga Forest, Birdwatching and being a good place to live!
