2 Weeks ago, the wife, the 2 kids and I took the Pajero and camper trailer for a week long trip out to Winton, Western Qld from Brisbane.
We had a 8 days to do it in - it was pretty full on. We stopped at Carnarvon Gorge for one night, Lake Maraboon near Emerald for 2 nights and then onto a property past Winton for 3 nights. Only stopped at Mitchell for one night on way back.
A lot of driving but well worth it. The highlight was the property we camped at past Winton. Amazing scenery and aboriginal sites - very hot for this time of year - 35 during day but nights very mild. We also visited Lark Quarry dinosaur tracks site - which was about another 50 klms and the Qantas museum on the way back in Longreach.
Took a lot of photos - here are just a handful - hope you enjoy
