Camping at Mornington Peninsula

hi Everyone

This topic was posted before by someone else but only had one reply, so was hoping since then someone else would have had camped in that area.

I am looking to do my first official camping in a tent weekend (2nights) with my family down in the Mornington Peninsula area during the Christmas/New Year holidays period. Kinda introducing "camping" to my wife and kid. Our activities will be mainly "bushwalking", was thinking Bushranger Bay, Cape Schanck, Point Nepean, Green bush. My setup is quite simple (which is a tent, 2 burner gas stove, table and chairs), so would need amenities such as toilet/shower block.

If someone has some experience, that will be much appreciated. Thank you

Eric

I spent a week there in Feb 08. I was camped at Blairgowrie. Pretty much that whole coastline is full of camp sites with power and showers available.

I've not camped there but I live in Rosebud.

This page should get you started for foreshore camping

There are also caravan parks.
