hello all,, thought i'd do a intro

Postby mad3under3 » Sun Sep 13, 2009 10:54 pm

Hello, i just got directed to this site from a fellow mother camper

i've just brought a caravan which im going to gut so me and my boys can go for a bit of a wander about lol!!! :-bang
i've got 3 boys 5,3,2 and will most likely take a year and home school them while we explore and have a ball

im looking at being off grid as much as possible, so ideally going to have a generator and solar power, and away we go

hoping to find other people with young ones and a good chat, and i hear this is the place for it,

see you around

Hi Jasmine and WELCOME to the forum....

WOW...you have quite a project on your hands, I wish you luck and am interested in hearing about it as you go.

Solar is a good way to go but also quite expensive to set up properly. You also need to have consistant sunshine in order to get any long term benefits from it, so factor that into your plans.

Generators are also great as a back up but be aware that there are a number of palces where you cannot use them. Again another thing to factor into you plans.

Good Luck......

Hi Jasmine,

Welcome, you will find plenty of families on your travels, your kids will have ball. We have been on several trips with kids to the Kimberley and Central Oz etc and they loved it. This is an amazing country, with new views around every corner. Happy travels and camping.

Cheers Tina
