Stanley aladdin coffee Flask

Postby garth » Sat Oct 10, 2009 10:16 am

Hi fellow campers,
I received a Stanley Aladdin Classic Coffee Flask as a gift from my parents.
It looks retro and sturdy. see
http://www.stanley-pmi.com/shop/Product ... -00311-001

Problem is I took it out for a trip last weekend and discovered it has a hole in the stainless steel lining.
Not very good for something which is leak proof and meant to have a life time warranty.

Anyway I have sent the company a few emails now and not heard any news, apart from the "we'll get back to you soon auto email"

Has anyone had good service with this company before?
Will keep you posted to let you know if they come good or not.

Hey,
just thought I'd give you all an update.

I haven't received any further communication from Stanley Aladdin yet.
Kind of dissapointing really.
I did some further research online today and found that there were some other people which had similar problems with their lifetime warranty.

will keep you all posted.

I'm with gypsylady...be the squeaky wheel. And if they have a 1800 number keep calling and calling. They will soon get sick of paying for the cost of your call!

I'm with the others....keep annoying them.

Demand a replacement be sent to you immediately!!! If you ask for a refund it will take them ages where as replacement would prove quicker and easier for them, if you annoy them enough you may get some extras to keep you off their case????

We have one of their thermos' and have had no trouble, that said if we did have trouble with it and we bought it locally I would take it back to the store for refund/replacement and let them deal with it.

Goodluck and keep us in the loop on how you get on.

I agree - keep at them.

If you get no satisfaction go to a chain that sells them (maybe KMart or BigW) and see if they can assist. If not on the phone to the Department of Fair Trading who will provide some advice.
