Mullumbimby

We have just returned from a long weekend at the campground located at the Mullumbimby Leagues Club – what a terrific little spot! There are only 18 sites in total, and 5 of these are on the banks of the Brunswick River, with the rest alongside the football ground itself. We stayed by the river and these sites are quite large, with plenty of space between you and your neighbours. The amenities are very basic but are kept clean and have the bonus of hot showers. There is a chip and put style golf course also located at the camp grounds, which surprisingly saw quite a lot of players over the weekend. The caretakers were very helpful and friendly and charge a flat fee of $20 per night for a powered site, or $15 for non powered. (All river sites are powered). The camp ground is also pet friendly.

The camp ground is a 2 minute drive to the town centre, where you’ll find everything you need – supermarket, newsagent, gift shops, RSL, coffee shops, bowls club and pub, and even an outdoor and camping shop. All in all we were very impressed with it and will certainly be returning in the not too distant future.
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt - then it's bloody hilarious!

Going to put this one on my list of 'must visit' places....

I wonder if it gets busy in peak times??
