And because we were talking about Wee Jasper, I just found them on Facebook where there are some fairly recent photos. It looks gorgeous after all that rain! http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=62975301189

Well had my trip to Yamba and I must say it was very pleasant and Nikki & Scott from the Clarence Coast Resort were most obliging.

I arrived home to find a post card in the mail box from them thanking me for my stay with them which I thought was a lovely gesture on their part.

Heading a couple of hours up the road to Eildon.
Santa's bringing us a new tent and a few extras so we're keen to try it all out!
Staying in a CP, powered site for 4 nights to see how the boys (7 and 4) enjoy it before we get more adventurous and go for some non powered camping!

We don't plan to go sightseeing so we'll just be kicking back relaxing by the river (Goulburn), watching the boys kill eachother!!!

There's 2 pools, a playground, rec room etc, so 4 days should be enough for the boys... they'll miss their TV and Wii too much by then!

Next time out (Easter) we'll head off with friends to Venus Bay... camped in a big group last time and the kids (8 in total!) had a ball... looking forward to that too.
Gotta love the warmer months!

Well Original idea (Grampians NP) has been dumped and now
looks like we are going to head to the Fleurieu Peninsula SA.
Unsure if we will go straight there or take our time and have a couple of
overnighters on the way so the kids dont go nuts on a 10- 12 hour drive
Hope stay at Deep Creek Conservation Park and do some day trips from there.

Of course this is all subject to change and just as likely to end up in the opposite direction.

We're going to brave Inskip, with Rainbow Waters as a back up (in case in turns Lord of the Flies).

Hi Garbage
We will also be down at Jervis Bay christmas/new year, I can't wait!!! Won't be camping at Greenpatch but very nearby. The kids love Greenpatch especially the rope swing. I really like Murray's beach and we spend a fair bit of time there usually. THIS time I WILL remember our snorkel gear for greenpatch!! Really is heaven on earth

Geez we are indecisive .....

Now changed again (2 weeks before going)
Trying to keep driving hours to 3 - 4 hours Max so as not to have to listen to kids whining

Home to Pick up my two part time kids (14 & 15yo) in Glenmaggie in evening,
Then Stay near there (probably Freestone Creek - Quarry Reserve)
Then Running Waters Camp Area along the Barry Way, Kosciuszco NP maybe 2 nights so we can play in the Snowy River for a full day.
Then an overnighter at the Numeralla Rest Area (Nth of Cooma)
Then Cotter Reserve, ACT for a few (maybe 4) nights so we can see the sights of Canberra
Then Wombeyan Caves for a couple or so nights, with a likely day trip into Sydney (Wife and kids have not been before)
Then Bendeela Camp Area for ? nights

Plan after that is flexible, either head home down the coastal route stopping at free camps along the way
or home via the Hume Hwy and the Murray River.

This has taken many hours of googling, forum reading, Camps 5 reading and emailing,

Finally decided where to go Boxing day (26th - 28th), Heading to the Murray River at Barmah where a friend will already be there camping.
Friend has a young one and another friend with a young one, so our young one will have play mates for the 3 days :+

We are headed to Inskip after having to abort our Moreton Island camping trip. Hopefully we can find a nice spot.

Evening all.

Heading south from Sydney to Canberra for 2 nights - taking in Questacon.

Then onto Jindabyne for 4-5 nights. Walking up Kousi.

We're staying at the Family Parks joint in Jindy. Looking forward to it.
